Every horse is different and will react differently to products. we typically advise to give your horse at least one month to see real results on most of our products to give it time to regulate into the horse's system.

Horse Supplements

All our products are palatability tested to ensure the majority of horses are happy eating them, however all horses are individuals, sometimes they won’t eat it. Just like humans, we don’t all like the same foods.  If your horse is unhappy with a new taste in their feed, we suggest you introduce this gradually into their feed ration. Start with a small amount of the recommended dose and then gradually add more and more into their feeds over 5-7 days until the recommended dosage is reached. This also gives the horses digestive system enough time to adjust to something new. Alternatively, you can try adding something very tasty into their feed such as apple sauce, mint, grated carrots, or molasses.

You can discuss your horse with our expert nutritionist to receive specific recommendations, and this service is completely free. Our knowledgeable reps are also happy to discuss the diet, as well as specific problems you wish to address.

We would always recommend discussing symptoms with your vet first, as the symptoms your horse may be showing could not be specific to stomach soreness or an indicator of the severity. However, in the short-term any of our Gut Balancers can be added to the diet to support a healthy and comfortable stomach providing pre and probiotics.

Yes, you can, although feeding some products means others are not necessary due to cross-over. It is important to make sure you are feeding a product that is relevant to the condition/problem you are having. Make sure you are only using what is necessary as it is also just as important to make sure you avoid over supplementation. You can get in touch with our knowledgeable reps or resident nutritionist by contacting our office or visiting our team page on the website.

Electrolytes are body salts essential for fluid balance, muscle, and nerve activity. The key electrolytes to note are sodium, potassium and chloride. There are many electrolytes on the market suited for daily use such as Everyday Electrolyte, the difference between these and Restore-lyte powder or liquid is that the latter combines electrolyte and muscle glycogen (energy store replenishment). As such, Restore-Lyte can be used in place of Everyday Electrolytes where an additional boost to the recovery process is required. For example, for those with heavy training and competition schedules, or re-fuelling on the go (such as vet gates, between classes or phases), a combination electrolyte and energy product such as Restore-Lyte would be recommended.

Yes you can, Cool it powder is best fed as a maintenance dose every day. Cool it paste should be fed to horses as a nutritional adjunct during times of increased stress factors such as travel, competition, changes in training regime or stables and external factors which could increase nervous tension such as fireworks, loud noises, crowds, or attending at the farrier or veterinary surgeon.

The majority of our supplements range are safe to feed to horses with a history of laminitis, we suggest however speaking to one of our reps about your horses past/current issues and they can advise best on how to go forward with choosing a supplement for your horse as an individual.

A banned ingredient is one that should never be fed or used on a horse registered with the FEI.

We do not use or allow any ingredients which appear on the FEI banned substances list to be included in any of our products, therefore all our products are FEI legal.

We advise to withdraw a full 24 hours in advance of competition in conjunction with the BHA (British Horse Racing Authority) the following products - Flexivite HA, MSM, Sulphur Cream and Equine OAP

Unfortunately, we don't offer samples, however most products have a smaller tub available to purchase. You can always contact the office or your local rep for any advice on our supplements to get the best for your horse.
